FAQs
What is Remote Desktop?
Remote Desktop allows our technicians to securely connect to your computer or device over the internet to provide support, troubleshoot issues, or perform routine maintenance.
Is the Remote Desktop session secure?
Yes. All remote sessions use end-to-end encryption to protect your data and privacy. We also use industry-standard security protocols.
Do I need to install anything on my computer?
In most cases, you’ll need to download and run a small support application. We’ll provide you with clear instructions and a one-time session code.
Can the technician access my computer without my permission?
No. Remote access is only granted with your approval and only during scheduled or real-time support sessions. You can end the session at any time.
What devices are supported?
We support all major operating systems, including, but not limited to, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Ubuntu, and select Linux distributions. If you’re using a specific setup or lesser-known OS, please reach out to us. We’re happy to confirm compatibility.
Is there a cost for using Remote Desktop support??
Depending on your service plan, there may be a fee for remote sessions. We’ll always let you know the cost before connecting.
